Product Description
Gabion box is a rectangular wire mesh woven compartmented basket with multiple double twisted hexagonal holes. It's usually filled with stones to stabilize mountains or riverbanks.
Gabion box from SKYHALL® Fence is woven from low carbon steel wire with the box surface pre hot dipped galvanized and then PVC coated to make it resistant to corrosion.
As an environment-friendly solution to slope stabilization, gabion box is increasingly applied in related projects.

Filled with stones and soil, the gabion box will provide a layer for plants to grow in. Initially, the wire mesh is needed to keep a steady structure; later the void between the stones will be filled with silt and plant roots which act as a bonging agent for the stones. With the help of the woven box, we get a natural barrier to avoid water and soil loss.
Permeability
The permeable structure of gabion box allows the water to seep through while retaining the soil to the filled stones, therefore no additional drainage is required to relieve the hydrostatic pressures.
Flexibility
The double-twist hexagonal mesh construction permits it to tolerate differential settlement without fracture. This feature is especially important when the structure is on unstable soil conditions.
