Audited Supplier Gabion box is a rectangular wire mesh woven compartmented basket with multiple double twisted hexagonal holes. It's usually filled with stones to stabilize mountains or riverbanks.
Gabion box from SKYHALL® Fence is woven from low carbon steel wire with the box surface pre hot dipped galvanized and then PVC coated to make it resistant to corrosion. As an environment-friendly solution to slope stabilization, gabion box is increasingly applied in related projects.
Gabion mattress is similar to a gabion box but with a lower height at 0.3 m maximumly.
At SKYHALL® Fence, the gabion mattress is hexagonally woven by low carbon steel wire. And the surface of the mattress is further galvanized.
They are usually filled with rocks to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures. They will be applied to promote the rapid growth of natural vegetation for further use in the mountain or riverbank stabilization.
Gabion wire mesh, also known as honeycomb mesh, is a kind of metal wire woven mesh that is similar to hexagonal wire mesh but with bigger holes. Gabion mesh generally has 2 types of fabrication: double or triple twist fabric. This fabric structure makes it flexible and variable.
SKYHALL® Fence uses low carbon steel wire as the material for honeycomb mesh. The mesh surface is pre hot dipped galvanized and then PVC coated to provide durable, anti-corrosion performance.
Due to its high tensile strength, gabion wire mesh can also be used as a substitution for chain link fence.
